I can't find my other thread but if anyone has any thali place to recommend? As I would like to try new ones.... However so far I've tried (please forgive if I butcher the spellings!) Kamat, Bikarnevala, dosa plaza and vasantha Bhavan. Also any place else that does good dal makhani, the smokey one? Thanks very much

Hi Cherpie Have you been to Chappan Bhog yet? It's SCRUMPTIOUS! ETA It's a thali place, what used to be Rajdani in Bur Dubai, it's now Chappan Bhog in Karama. North Indian thali yum yum yum yum......aggggggghhhh darn this diet! edited by CouchPotato on 27/04/2015 Hi Couch Potato/Cherpie, Rajdhani is now Maharaja Bhog not Chhappan Bhog....thats a different restaurant. I love Maharaja Bhog...havent yried Chhappan Bhog yet.

How did you find Kamat? It is my favorite so far! I actually had the menu items as well, really really good- good preparation and easy on the stomach as well. Only nag I'd have is the staff were a bit too friendly but other than that, really liked it. I did not know its the veg branch of gazebo, which I've been to many times (and ordered veg) but I think it's a bit more value priced. I was really impressed with the variety. Thumbs up from me!
