Just a quick one for you!

How much, on average, does a school receptionist in a British school earn? I'm thinking of applying for a position and have no idea what to answer if they ask me what my salary expectations are! I'm British and have two degrees but never worked in a school or as a recptionist before. Putting it like that makes me think I stand no chance but if I don't try I'll never know!

Around 4-7K with no benefits. At our school the receptionists don't get all the holidays off they get I think 45 days annual leave per year to take but do get some benefits ... Medical and a small discount on fees edited by cymraes on 03/05/2015

I would have thought around £16000 pro rata at least.Check out job sites for similar admin jobs. I don't think so. That's more than a lot of teachers earn.
