Extension of Rental Contract

Good afternoon!

We are currently in a villa and Springs and we have agreed with the Landlord to extend the rental contract for an additional year. Does this have to be done "officially", or is a simple letter between ourselves and the Landlord sufficient (I suspect the former ;) )?

If we do need to get this done officially, any idea who can do this for us, or is it something that we can do ourselves?

As ever, thanks!

The Landlord must provide you with a new contract for the next twelve months, stating the same as the previous one. If you have agreed to everything remaining the same. You will need it to register with Ejari. Or you can get a standard one from a typing centre and fill it in and get him to sign it. Don't forget you need a copy too. edited by Geordie expat on 04/05/2015
