Yeah, the schools [url=http://www.ourcase.co.uk'>ourcase.co.uk[/url'> will have places for your [url=http://www.casesam.co.uk'>casesam.co.uk[/url'> kids.
My daughter will be starting at Safa Community School in September (Year 1). I was also worried as the academic year is different in Australia to here! Cannot speak highly enough of this school and the way we have been corresponded with ... and I was so impressed with the facilities when we visited. It's smaller too, so not as overwhelming for kids starting school in a new country. Good luck with your move!!
hi mel
how has your experience been at safa since the school year started? i'd love to speak to you about it if possible! how are the teachers? the homework load? how rigorous are the academics? style of teaching?
thanks!
Quick question on the back of this thread. I'm doing some research for a friend and forgot to ask her what year her daughter would be in.
Can any one advise me what year a just turned 10 year old would start in September? Thanks

I recently went to visit Safa Community School and if I recall correctly other than FS1 and FS2 they have places in other years and they are reasonably priced. I believe most of the schools that opened a year or two ago will have places for your kids and a few of them are not too pricey. Good luck!
Because of child care and transport out here, you will probably be best applying for a TA job at whatever school your child goes to.
Regarding age - children who turned 11 between 1st September last year ie 2014 and 31st Aug this year, 2015 will just have finished year 6 in the British system.
They go to secondary in September which is year 7.

There was one advertised on here back at the end of May. You could always give them a try?
Hi there
My hubby is waiting on his formal offer coming through & I have started looking at schooling for our 3 children aged 11, 10 & 6. We are currently in Scotland where the age of starting school is different from England so I'm concerned of where they will be placed as the had all just turned 5 when they started (a whole year behind English curriculum).
I know that there is space for them all at Hartland but it's a wee bit out of our price range although the facilities look amazing as they are all really sporty kids with two not being particularly academic (10yr old is also dyslexic) Is there any other schools that anyone can suggest that has a good variety of sports?

Thanks in advance for any help & advice you can offer xx
