Dear all,
Can anyone give me some advice on opening a bank account for personal use?
I am a UK expat living in Hong Kong with a rental agreement.
Also would your advice change if I were to open an account for business purposes?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Hi Iora04, If you already bank with an international provider in the UK you can open a local version of your account in a branch in Hong Kong. If you need to open a new account then most banks will need your proof of address (rental agreement), passport and proof of salary. It is best to check with each bank to see what their requirements are. HTH EW Emily
