Hi everyone!

I've recently purchased a Silhouette cameo and I'm in love with it, but as a newbie I'd love to meet other fellow crafters who work with this machine to get support and inspiration.

I'm also having trouble trying to figure out where to find here in Dubai some of the materials I'd like to use.

Anyone around using a cameo? :)

For those of you looking to buy a cameo, I'd advise you to double check with the shop whether it is cameo 1 or 2. Not really sure of all the differences between them, but I guess if you´re gonna buy, buy the newest.

Also available through Pretty Paper Studio (http://ppsuae.com) ;) Sold out! would have been so handy! Paperlane only has the cameo which is too pricey for me. I think I may hold my horses and buy on amazon! Thanks ladies!

You can buy it here at the craft/scrapbooking store at Town Centre, I think its called Paper Lane. I bought mine from Amazon and had it shipped, worked out cheaper even with shipping. Thank you! Will check it out, in a bit of a rush, last minute project and this would be ideal.

 This youtuber has some good tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I6J9CqXYDI :rainbow: I love it!! But you need to have he stamps... I'm hoping to be able to do something similar without the stamps, only with online images and the pixcan mat. Have you tried it already?

Thank you ladies! I´ll have a look at the places/ online stores you mentioned. Just two days ago I went to Creative Minds since I believe they have virtually everything I may dream of, but quite surprisingly they don't have vinyl! I was looking forward to decorating some old mugs. I'd buy from Amazon, but sometimes the shipping cost is higher than the item I want to purchase, so it doesn't make much sense for small purchases like the ones I usually do. Has anyone tried stuff at desertcart.com? not sure about the quality there. Veganprincess, the cameo is absolutely fab!! I'm in love with it. It's been two days (still on holidays!) just playing around to get to know the software. It looks promising!! Curio is out today and I feel kinda jelous of all the things it can do as well... Again ladies, thank you for your help! :)

I have a Silhouette Cameo and am very excited about using it but I am ashamed to say that I haven't got started yet  What with moving etc, it's still in the box....1 year later (ahem). Will get there in the end! Some great tutorials on youtube. BTW, if I'm not able to get home to the UK to stock up on supplies, I've found Pretty Paper Studio (http://ppsuae.com) offers a good range and reasonable prices ;) :rainbow:

Have you tried Creative Minds along Umm Suquiem or Pretty Paper Studio, an online store based in Deira, Dubai? Agree with previous poster, I buy my crafting/scrapbooking materials online usually on Amazon (they have everything!). Shop and Ship is also my friend.
