i would suggest fit republik. I think its about the same price as Fitness first but i find it much nicer. And they have an olympic size pool there and lots of other classes etc.

Optimal Fitness is nice. They have a good variety of classes. Optimal Fitness is dinky and when I used to go there, all the cardio machines were always busy. Afraid FitFirst and FitRepublik are your best options - although if you are into it, CrossFit Sands is also in Motor City.

What is it you are looking for Rosie? Classes, machines, weights? machines and classes, we used to go to bodyworx and like it there as it was affordable, had a creche and not too many people. i think we may have to join fitness first, which i did not want to as they too money grabbing and very over priced but seems like there is nothing else

Body worx is a huge gym in motor city. Same building as carrefour and 800 pizza I think they had to close down!!

There is a gym at the Polo Club. I can't comment on it as I've never been. http://www.poloclubdubai.com/en/leisure/leisure-membership.aspx It's not a very big gym and it depends on what you want to. We use it occasionally, but not with a trainer or anything.
