Hello Ladies!

I have just had a new electric cooker installed and the gap between the side of it and my kitchen units is worryingly small... I can't seem to find a clear answer in the manual nor did the installation guys bat an eyelid - they also said it was 'ready to cook' when there was still a layer of protective film on the outside and didn't reference the 'new oven burn off before cooking for the first time' so I don't have much faith in them...

Any help you can offer would be most appreciated!!

If you bought it from one of the main stores in Dubai, I wouldn't worry. The guys who deliver and install do this on a daily basis. There was almost no gap between ours and the units on either side and that's the way it should be. I would have said it was up to you to read the manual and see what you have to do before using it for the first time, they won't remove the protective film for you.
