Hi all,

So i did my the Bhcg test and it came positive, we had several attempts of We had several IVF attempts and IUI in London in the past 10 years , then recently we saw a Dr. Dimitrios in Bourne hall and he advised to try checking NK cells ( natural killer cells) and surprisingly it was high. So we a couple of medication ( Clomide and Prednisolone ) and with a touch of miracle and did huystroscopy . We got pregnant naturally !!! I am having tooo many feelings from anger why we never had this offered to us before to complete utter panic.

i think we are 4 weeks and 3 days. I called our dr. and he is very cautious ( too cautious) maybe coz my BCHG in week 4 is almost 3000. So he didn’t want to talk about anything till he does a particular scan which is making more nervous than I am already am. So I thought no better place to get some comfort than my dear moms. I can’t reach out to family as we are not disclosing our news till later in our preg.

I live in Tecom so Al Zahra and Saudi German are our best options, but who do we see ? any suggestions? What should we consider? When do I need to book my appointment? is it too soon
I am scared even to move, what is ok to do during this time? Some tell me I need to swim or do some mild cardio as it strengths the muscles and some tell me not to do any activity? Can I travel or not? can I dance or not? herbs , what is save and what’s not?
Why is my dr. being too cautious?
When do I need to tell my employer?

Ok you can have a glimpse of what is going in my head. I need help!!

Hi naddu200! Reading your story makes me believe on miracles. Congratulations! Remember that every pregnancy is different. My advice will be just to listen to your body and take the signs from there. It's better also not to read stories or articles about anything negative about pregnancy and stop doing research on so many information. It will stress you out even more. Read more funny, nice and good stuff or even watch something funny. Laughter eases your well being. Anything beautiful, suck it up :) In my experience, i find talking to your baby inside and sharing what you feel helps. For some reason, my baby helped me with my all day sickness. I told him mommy's very tired and need rest, and i did had a good rest that day. Thanks sooo much! i am much better now, i am reading less and trying to focus on going to my normal routine and work. at least its keeps my mind busy from rushing every 2 min to the bathroom and checking if i am spotting ...... blah blah blah, I am very grateful, i dont get nausea much or vomit. just fatigue and sleep almost 12 hours a day. I have an appointment this Thursday to see if we still have a heart beat. Pray for us!!

Please try to calm down and relax as much as possible although I know it's difficult. If you could please share your feedback about Dr Dimitrios and Bourn hall clinic I am planning to start my 4th IVF try and I wanted to check Thanks dear. I am trying my best to keep my mind occupied. The first time when i looked into fertility clinics i checked Bourne hall first and they had a seminar where they explain their service ( its free) so i thought its worth going. during the seminar you manage to meet the dr. and you can ask some initial questions with 0 commitments. I spoke to Dr. Dimitrios and i decided to have a consultation with him as he was working in London in the hospital i have my second IVF so he related to my history. It took me a year to go back and decide to start the treatments, it was easy to speak to him and i liked that he wanted to know the cause of the infertility and why it never worked before. so we started a line of tests, they are kinda expensive if you dont have your insurance covering it. The other thing i liked about the Dr. he wasnt pushy about starting the IVF immediately and gave us the opportunity to try natural cycles with some medications. your opinion matters! which i cant always say that with other drs. !!!! he will advice what he thinks its best but in the end you dont feel pressured to take his advice. he is very cautious and double checks and reachable. I e-mail him all the time and he is responsive. my only issue is that the clinic is far for me. I hope i am helpful and all the best with your IVF.

Congratulations on your success. hoping everything goes well  Thanks Aimstars for your reply and support. i did another test for the HCG and its 8500 :( , I am trying not panic so i checked online on what is means and if its normal. I have my appointment with Dr. Dimitrious on Thursday so finger crossed till then. It seems that Al Zahra is a better option than SGH. So we are considering it, let me know how it goes with Dr. Nirmala.

We have also been trying for a baby for the last 4 years and finally we got pregnant with the help of Dr Dimitrious at Bourn Hall as well. This is our 2nd IVF. We are currently 11 weeks. For our 12 week scan we have booked into Al Zahara Hospital and we are going to see Dr Nirmala Raghunathan. We picked her as she is also a specialist in Infertility. I know how you feel about not wanting to move or do anything. But you have a high bchg number but i wouldn't travel until you have seen your doctor. But you can swim, Swimming is amazing for pregnancy. Also once you get into your 2nd trimester Yoga is amazing. Just try and take it easy, try not to get stressed about things. (Hard i know) but seriously stress is a bad thing during 1st trimester. Don't worry about telling your employer until you know things with your doctor. If you need any other advice then just shout. Aimstars x

Congratulations! I can imagine that you are incredibly anxious as this is obviously something that you have wanted for a very long time, and it hasn't been easy for you. The only advice I can give is to try and live your life as normal. I wouldn't do any strenuous exercise or fatigue your body excessively, but I would act as normal as possible. I'm not sure of any recommendations for doctors at the hospitals that you have mentioned, but I'm sure somebody on here can help.
