hi pocketrocket did you have any luck with this? I am also looking to take my helper back but struggling to get info. Same here, really hard to get any info. Before 2012 was definitely possible and is now much harder. Will let you know if I find any more information.

Does anyone know if it is possible to take your maid back to the UK on a long term basis if you are moving back to the UK. Thanks :-))) Read the thread from 2013 http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/topic211843-moving-to-the-uk--how-to-take-our-nanny-with-us-forum23.aspx There is also some information from the UK gov website, they would be the best people to ask and if you email them they will come back to you quite quickly https://www.gov.uk/au-pairs-employment-law/nannies https://www.gov.uk/domestic-workers-in-a-private-household-visa/overview
