Hi,
I've been offered a job in Abu Dhabi and I have been looking at secondary schools for my sons who will be year 8 and year 10.
Does anyone have any recommendations on which schools are good, I...
Hi, we will be moving to Abu Dhabi soon. I have kids in the same grades as you did when you posted. I'd really appreciate your feedback on the school you chose, and your recommendations.
My twins attend Brighton College and are in year 5 and they absolutely love it there. We applied to Cranleigh, BISAD, Al Yasmina and BSAK as well. We received offers from Brighton, Cranleigh, BISAD and BSAK (though only for one twin). Brighton was always their top choice so we accepted and have never looked back.
You will need to apply for all sec schools in ab dabs, as there are not so many... a lot of brit schools have opened up but they add year on year... so they don't all do secondary year groups yet. the best ones are BSAK, Aldar Academies, BCAD, Repton, Cranleigh, Belvedere, Diyafarah, Basma British, Nord, Cambridge High, Cambridge Int, Reach British among a few. secondary ones will be BSAK, BCAD, Cambridge High, Reach, Belvedere, aldar etc
If you check ADEC you can see the ratings of schools here in Abu Dhabi. I have applied to BSAK, BISAD and all al dar schools. Finally I have chosen Al Yasmina because i felt more comfortable there and i also had a budget. BSAK has priorities for Brits and Siblings unfortunately i don't fall under these categories.
having said all this, my daughter is entering FS1 and not in secondary yet. so i hope you can get more answers from those who have children in secondary level.
best of luck and you will love Abu Dhabi :)
Hi,
I've been offered a job in Abu Dhabi and I have been looking at secondary schools for my sons who will be year 8 and year 10.
Does anyone have any recommendations on which schools are good, I've been looking online and the best rated schools are Brighton College/ Al Bateen/ British international school. Does anyone have children who attend any of these or recommend other good schools.
Many thanks
