I don't know if you just want to talk to my hairdresser. Jacques La Coupe. He will advise you on what to do next before attempting to do anything like chemicals on your hair. He's at the Address Hotel Marina Dubai but also at Al Marooj Hotel, opposite the Dubai Mall, on certain days. His number is 044458381. Very best of luck. x

Most fine hair is quite fragile and cannot really stand too much processing with chemicals. You will most likely have to it cut off short and start again. The less this sort of hair is "handled" the better it is. You might like it short - less trouble in the hot weather and a lot less expense.

If a perm has done that to your hair, sounds like it was possibly on the dry, frizzy side, any colour in it? I suspect I know the salon you went to - they always have complaints and are definitely NOT trained to the standard their salons in other countries are. I also recommend Aliza. Since she specialises in chemical treatments and that's all she does, she is a master at it and can recommend what can be done to help your hair. Sadly I seriously doubt anyone is going to recommend putting another chemical treatment on top of what's already been done, as that really will destroy your hair.

Go to a reputable salon and get it fixed Reputable doesn't mean they won't do disaster. I find them more careless because they don't have to struggle for making a name any more. I can name all those salons charging such high prices to deliver disasters. Over my ten years here have been to all 4 I named and have never had any distasters I have sat in the chair and watched people with bad colours/cuts come in and have them corrected I can only go my own experience and that of my friends who go there too :-) I am not saying they are bad at coloring or cutting or highlighting. Chemical treatments such as perming and straightening treatments are not famous in Europeans countries, hence these hairdressers are not really good at that. Even though I have seen many filpinos, Indians, Koreans excellent with these treatments, I yet have to come across a European/Arab hairdresser who could be equally good. In my opinion, since these treatments are very much "Asian", this is why only Asians are expert in this. Just like Asians are not good doing blonde coloring because it's just not their thing. No offense intended. But to fix something, you should know how it is done and what went wrong. I would suggest OP to check with this Japanese salon in DIFC or Marina. I find them to be ethical enough to say, "they can't fix it". Perming has been done in the UK for years. I am 44 and had several perms in my 20's I understand about the straightening but the OP mentioned she got a perm. Is a perm a different term here to what I would assume it is? :):
