Good idea. Will give the mirror and side lights ago.
To be honest I wouldn't want a row of bulbs at the top anyway - just 2 down the sides so this should work out fine.
Thanks so much for your reply!
I also wanted a good mirror for make up in my bathroom.
Best option was IKEA.
You buy the plain cheap rectangular mirror and then 2 or 4 of these side lights.
If your dressing table is near a wall light, get an electrician to wire it for you. Very simple and quick.
(Call Jimll Fix it if you don't have a handy friend).
It is a brilliant light and the glow from the bulbs is just right

Saw this on amazon too but still pricey

I saw amazing make up cases on a stand with built in mirrors in one of the malls here the other day but cant remember where. It may have been Debenhams or Harvey Nics.
I always find that Lifestyle is worth a look for make up accessories like cases and mirrors too. Check there ...
Good evening ladies,
I've been after one of those swanky Hollywood style vanity mirrors for a while now - the one with the light bulbs framing the mirror. Does anyone know where I can buy one from?
Online they're all £250 - £300!! Srsly! That's a lot, right?
I thought maybe I could build/make one myself but after watching a few YouTube videos it's waaaay beyond my capabilities.
It's time like these I wish I had a "handy" person in my circle of friends!
Anyway, has anyone ever seen them in the shops?
