Generally people try to live close to the school, if they say the travel time will be 1.5 h there will be occasions it will take them 2 h.

I waited until my lease was up and moved closer to school. We now live a five minute drive or ten minute walk, which we do in the cooler months. Life is so much easier and stress-free, I don't know why more people don't do this (at least the ones that rent). I would choose this option every time especially for very young children.

My son will start big school in August and I only just found out that the bus ride to school is nearly an hour and a half! So the plan is to drop him in the morning but he will need to do the bus ride in the afternoon, which seems a bit much to me. I know a few moms use Careem as an option but I am seriously considering moving closes to the school.. What do you moms do? Any parents with kids in Deira international school?
