Technically there is nothing in the law that states it is illegal. However it's not legal for a licensed doula or nurse to come to your house and assist you. It IS possible to find a midwife who will fly here and assist you from another country but that would be quite costly. There are women who have unplanned home births in that they didn't make it to the hospital. There isn't legal action taken against them, they are simply transported to the hospital. So technically no, not illegal, but nearly impossible to find/get support.
