Dress code, working for government entity

Hi, hoping someone can advise on a VERY trivial question :)

I'm starting work for a government entity in a couple of weeks. The firm's staff is largely Emirati / Middle Eastern. Women in abayas, men in DDs.

Knowing this, my work wardrobe will clearly be modest; sleeves, knee length skirts or trousers, no cleavage etc.

Now for the trivia.

Can I wear only thicker, opaque black tights rather than natural or black stockings /hold ups (bare legs I'm assuming is a no go)?

For the first week I would wear trousers. You would be able to gauge it better once you are there. Most women I have see who don't wear an Abaya wear ankle length skirts or trousers
