Dental treatment declaration

Hello,

I need advice from long-time Dubai redidents, as I'm not sure these things work the same way here... I just saw a dentist and signed a treatment plan declaration for some work to be done. It mentions that fees are to be paid after each visit, but can I change my mind and not proceed with the plan at all? I didn't want to sign at first but the doctor said it was not binding, just to show that I was informed of the costs. Is that correct?

Thank you in advance.

It is common, most places here even for just vaccines you have to sign a treatment cost plan. Doctors and clinic are told by Dubai Health Authority that they have to do it so there is not confusion over costs and that the cost have been presented to you. We have to sign for everything my kids have with their GP and this is how it was explained to me. My dentist also always asks us to sign :-)
