hello and good morning, i now live in uk, separated, husband lives in uae, own business., no dependant children. (he's moved in a girlfriend but i don't want to go down the adultery route in uae if i don't need to, i want a divorce not a war and whats rightfully mine after 43 years of marriage)
currently i get spousal maintenance which he pays voluntarily monthly and i have a house in my name only here.
if i divorce, can a financial settlement and splitting of assets be enforced from here to uae, how long could it take, if it can or am i in a losing battle here without a leg to stand on.
lawyers don't seem to know here. many thanks for any help. bye for now.
