Asking for your advice for a friend who is the LL. The tenant left the apartment and thought it would be a good idea to leave some items behind for the new tenant. They did not ask the LL if this was ok but took their own decision. The LL asked for these to be removed but only after handover. Also, on handover the agent found a couple of repairs which needed to be done, and this cost should be borne by the tenant as it was clearly given in immaculate condition. There are pics to prove this. However these pics were sent to the tenant and they are disputing the pictures. The tenant is now disputing these issues and does not want to pay for the broken items. What are my friend's (LL) rights. They have not been good tenants.

try contacting rera and check with them. they are the responsible gov. entity for real estates stuff and includes disputes between landlord and renters. I don't have the link or their number but you can google them.
