Try the Sharaf DG IT HelpDesk - 800 344357. They will help you even if you haven't bought the product from them.

Sorry for hijacking the thread: I want to know if there is some person/shop who would take my laptop and do all that needs to be done, spruce it up and give it back to me. I am really technologically challenged and my computer is a mess these days. Any shop who does this sort of stuff?

One of the major things that slows computers down is not empyting your temporary internet files.

Right click on Explorer, click on properties and empty the temporary internet files.

I would suggest you check if you can add more RAM to your PC. I have done this to both an old Laptop and a Desktop and it is like getting a new PC!! There are several websites that you can use to check if your PC can add extra RAM. Also many different suppliers for the RAM. You can clean programs and files off your PC but extra RAM makes a much bigger difference. Good luck.

If you have a PC you can use the Windows defragmentation process to put your files in order.

Use the Properties of Your Local Disk:
- Open My Computer.
- Right-click the local disk volume that you want to defragment, and then click Properties.
- On the Tools tab, click Defragment Now.
- Click Defragment.
