I had mine in Nstyle Nail Salon in Dubai Marina Mall. Couldn't be happier.

Shellac and gellish both great so long as they have been put on correctly. I've started going for neutral colors and painting funky colours over the top. I change my polish every few days and doesn't ruin the actual gellish/shellac. I can go 3-4 weeks like this.

Ok so that's to remove it totally, but can you put regular polish over the top, then take it off without removing the rest? I know it would probably ruin the 'shine' of the original colour but am guessing a top coat could fix that.

Just trying to figure out if I can ever get 'fun' gelish or if I have to stick with natural ones as we can't have anything coloured at work (french/beige/pink/red only)

No you can't as it's not like nail extensions it is just like a nail polish.

Ok I have a question is bio sculpture the same idea as gelish and shellac? Do it just peel/soak off? What is the colour range like?

Yes, have explained how to remove it below. Colour range depends on what salons have purchased. Same as Gellish and the rest. Difference between Gellish and bio sculpture is that gellish has a brush in the bottle like a polish where as bio sculpture comes in little tubs without a brush.

I went to Fafa Salon in Sunset Mall Jumeirah Beach Road and they have promotion of like AED 69 of Gellish for both mani and pedi. and I finished in less than 1 hour. Good value and I like the salon. But i think their next booking is next week.

I don't think they do Gelish as in the Harmony brand they have shellac or the Opi version of gel which I found went on very thick coats?

Your are right. I just checked, no gelish (Harmony). What they have done to mine is Shellac (CND) it's still good and great value too. I love my nail color :-D

silly question, but can you put another colour over the top of gelish if you want a change, and would it damage the nails to try take the colour off again? My friend got them and I'm thinking about it for work, as I heard they last a long time, but I'd want to put on a colour for 'fun' on my days off, but would need to go back to natural for work. Or would I have to remove the gelish at the same time as removing the 'fun' colour? Never had it before so no idea how it works...

Gellish, Shellac, Biosculpture and Geleration are all gel based nail polishes that are cured under a LED or UV lamp. They last longer and are harder. To remove the polish you need cotton wool or gauze soaked in nail polish remover with acetone then wrap with tin foil, leave for 5 mins and then peel/scrape off orange/wood pedicure stick. If you peel off before soaking you will damage your nails.

I personally prefer the Jessica Geleration to Gellish but have never had Shellac.

I have been using Gellish and really got on well with it. I have it at Chi Motor City.

Used Bio sculpture for the first time this week at a new spa, and although it is looking great I have to say they way they use the UV lamp ( four fingers of one hand, thumb of the other) is a total pain in the posterior. Both hands are on the go, so no googling, scrolling, smsing, or magazine flipping!), plus, where I had it done they only had one UV lamp so it took 3 hours!I was climbing the walls!

I have used shellac, gellish and jessica everlasting and after trying all 3 several times can say that gellish wins hands down. It lasts very long without chips. My pedicure can easily go upto 6 weeks. Manicure 2 weeks. The color intensity stays the same. Shellac colors seem to lose intensity.

I just used a home comp, thought they where ok until i realised it was nearly 100 dhs more than tips n toes, they used shellac found it bad in quality barely lasted 2weeks, very limited colours and there is a burn mark in my sofa! I would rcmd gellush much better quality and better colour choice.

I have Gellish at tips and toes. I found it to be better than Shellac and there is more choice of colours

Friend of mine had it done a little while ago at Beauty Within which is in The Jewels over the road from Shams, JBR. I have gelish at Tips & Toes and I think they are similar applications.
