Why is this school slagged so much? Whats wrong with it?

Hugsys - Which year are you looking for? My DD goes to FS1 and we are very happy with the school. She really likes her teacher. We just meet her next year (FS2) teacher and DD seems to really like her as well. The most important factor for me is that DD is happy in the school.

Hi Metro! My DS is due in a few weeks hes not officially born yet! I'm racking my brains out now so I dont have to do it later.

Were likely moving to JVC soon so I want a school nearby. Is that bad of me?

DBS or Regent? Ugh... so confused...

Thanks ladies! Good to get some advise on Regent int! Were looking to move to JV or Springs so I know Regent will be very well located as well as the fee's being very reasonable! It seems alot of people who are negative about the school dont actually have first hand experience of the school...?

I think management had a few issues with staff retainment due to late salaries and such when they first opened. Some teachers were offered certain things and when they got here were given something completely different. I know of one teacher who was offered 15k per month and when she got here they took it down to 7.5 for no reason. A lot of teachers including heads did runners in the middle of the night.

I think now this has been resolved. So the quality of staff has improved. I know people who have their kids there and are happy, but I wouldn't send my children there.

I am happy there (3 children) and know most of my Regent acquaintances have been satisfied.

Sometimes I think the school negativity is driven by schools (and Parents) politically campaigning to keep everyone paying new fees and maintaining there "Lists". As long as people continue to feel they can find a "better/ the BEST" school and those schools keep changing, schools will continue to collect extra fees.

Some of my criteria for a great school; happy, well adjusted children who are learning to love to learn and getting the most out of their daily studies. They have met my expectations and we will continue to send all three to Regent.
