Thank you all very much, this info has been most helpful.

One last question does anyone one know what the Internet connection is like there? I know it is with DU? Is it quite easy to change DU internet from one place to another?

Many thanks!!

If anyone knows where I can get some pictures from that would be great.

Hi Chellyjellydubai2012]
I asked our receptionist today who is staying with a family in Al Khail gate and she told me that once you are inside the compound you find alot of families who live there and others are mainly company employees accommodations. There are employees from carrefour and placed like that. She also mentioned that there are supermarkets in the compound who do home delivery. She said the apartment she lived in is quit spacious and had a relatively large hall and kitchen. I hope this info will help you.

Personally, if you are coming as a single female, i would NOT Live there.

Ask you company for different accommodation or an allowance.

Ive been there and seen one of the apartments there .. 3 bedroom.
The apartments inside are actually okay. nice and spacious with a good sized bedroom. the communal areas are also clean but as soon as you walk into the building there is a strong smell of incense.

parking is a nightmare. its mostly company accomodation and on the street, the spaces have been taken up by minibuses. I dont know if there is underground parking but we were driving around for ages trying to find somewhere.
did see a lot of kids playing out in the street so I think you will have a few families living there which is always reassuring !

Its surrounded by labour camps and they have a few grocery stores dotted around each block for basics.

My office is in the same area and I know few of my colleagues are living there. I pass by it every day and it is in the middle of no where and surrounded by labor camps. Not sure about the community itself though. If you have a car then you can easily get out of the area. But I wouldn't walk on that street unless I had too.Its very similar to old Satwa area or deep inside Karama in terms of people who live there. I can ask my colleague about the compound itself and give you a more solid feedback tomorrow.

It's in the middle of a labour camp area. Hope you will not life there alone as i wouldn't feel comfortable to walk alone in the street.

Hi,
I am moving to Al Khail Gate in Al Quoz soon as part of a new job. I have not seen the area or the accomodation yet as it is provided by the company.

Can anyone tell me what the area is like, what the accomodation is like, and does anyone have any pictures of the accomodation??. I will be having a studio apartment, so I think I will be in the phase one area. I have googled the area, but there seems to be no proper pictures of the accomodation to get an idea of what it is like.

Any advice or tips would be good

many thanks
