I sincerely hope so as well! I'd have given her what for if I'd witnessed that.

Ive not seen a dog walker hitting a dog, but yes I see the same few maids/ dogwalkers in Marina meeting up with their friends and simply sitting in a bench for the hour while the dogs strain to get walking and moving. They dont seem to carry water bottles for the doggies either and the dogs pant a lot so I think its quite cruel.
I would probably have said something to this dogwalker if I had seen her hitting the dog - wouldnt have been able to control myself as hitting a dog on the head is very wrong. Grr

To the owners of a small cream colored dog and orange dachshund near JBR. They were parked next to a bench where their caretaker (A Philipina wearing brown t-shirt and black pants) was sitting and chatting with another dog-walker. The cream colored pup started barking and she slapped him on the head repeatedly until he stopped. As I walked past them 20 minutes later she was still sitting there but this time when the dog began barking she kicked him several times! Not only was she not walking the dogs but making them sit in the heat while she chatted, but slapping and kicking a dog is animal cruelty. She should be ashamed of herself.
