There are lots of apartments near Academic City or even Silicon Oasis, which is probably more convenient, amenities-wise. But you'll have a hard time securing accommodation before you actually get here. Best to settle in and bring the cats in December.

I'll be working in Academic City starting September and want to bring 2 cats, but only if I can make my living arrangements first. Otherwise, I'll stay in the hotel provided by my company, then get my cats when I come back to the USA in December. Any suggestions for cat friendly flats/small villas near trains or buses to Academic City. I'll also be traveling weekly to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Thank you. This is my first post, but I've found the best info on this site.
