Large Shopping Malls
The Avenues and the 360 degree mall are both quite new, light and spacious. Both have a very good selection of retail outlets, cafes, restaurants, large grocery store, entertainment and large car parks.
The Avenues is situated off the 5th ring road towards Jahra. Take the 60 Rd exit but keep parallel to the 5th only bearing right when you see the brown sign for the Avenues. Parking is free but it may be congested on Fridays later in the afternoon/evening. Here you will find a cinema, Magic Planet, Carrefour (French supermarket), food courts and a very large selection of retail outlets including Debenhams, Pottery Barn, Boots etc, etc.
360 degree Mall is situated off the 6th ring road in Zahra, just before the 50 Rd which is the King Faisal Highway. Parking outside is free but there is a small charge for parking under cover. This Mall is beautifully decorated, has designer shops, cinema, bowling and also Marks & Spencer’s, Toys R Us and Geant (French supermarket).
Other Shopping Areas
Marina Mall, the Sharq Souk (both off Arabian Gulf Street) and Al Kout Mall (Fahaheel) all are pleasant shopping areas located by the sea with very nice dining and walking options.
There are too many other small malls to mention! However you will find they pop up all over Salmiya, Hawally and the City and have a good range of stores- these are great to investigate when you have a spare morning or afternoon.
