Wall Street 2, Money Never Sleeps

Wall Street 2, Money Never Sleeps follows the fortunes of our arch villain, Gordon Gekko, after a sobering eight years in prison; an older, wiser, more reflective man.
The film is carried by strong performances from a handful of actors, led by the very charismatic Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf, playing two equally charismatic characters.

I’m surprised I find myself writing that about Mr LaBeouf but in this film he grew up for me, shook off the young teen and became a man. Having sat through several of his movies wondering what the fuss was about, with Wall Street, I finally ‘got him’.
It’s a good strong storyline about money & the city, hunger and greed. The wide angle cinematography is as appealing as you would expect from an Oliver Stone movie, and the suits are as sharp as the diamonds are dazzling. Look out for the charity fundraiser, captured beautifully.
