- If i wear skimpy top or knee length skirt, won't be assumed I am a street cat.
- Can't go out alone to a cafe to have a coffee without a foul trying to pick me up.

lol,

didn't mean to be putting anyone off. Like the other girls say, you learn to get on with it and enjoy the other benefits.
And my porkie was a bit off because I'm in Doha now.
You'll love it!

There are libraries here, and I'd say a good number of green areas and parks considering we are in the middle of the desert with very little water.

Dubai is missing:

fresh pesto in tubs
fresh custard from Sainsburys etc
Nice Sainsburys dips (In fact I miss Sainsburys altogether)
M&S sandwiches (really sad but I miss M&S cafes)
Supermarket shopping online
Meat / fish that you can actually freeze because it isn't already defrosted
Sanatogen vitamins (anyone found these in Dubai?)
Half decent TV programmes
Decent work clothes for women

However I can do without all of these to be in the sun a million miles away from all the things I don't miss about UK.

Sounds as if you need to live in another country if you can throw a list together like that!
