Are you talking about fat around your tummy? Probably a hormonal imbalance. Insulin resistance can cause fat storage in the belly area. So can cortisol. High stress levels can cause excess cortisol, which causes fat storage around the belly.Both of these can be a thyroid problem.Food intolerances can also cause it.The other thing that can cause it could just simply be stretched and weak lower abdominal, aka the innermost layer of your abdominal muscles, often caused by being pregnant and childbirth. ab workouts will not make your tummy stick out further, unless of course you are not doing them right. You must pull your muscles down to your back so to speak lol.. You also have to remember that you can tone the muscle and it will act like a natural girdle. Try taking Pilates for a month or so and see what your tummy is like ....

it's just a woman thing, I think...Either do hardcore abdominal workouts, or get lipo... sadly, I have had my pouch for way too long.

And I have tried dieting and working out to no end. It is just a tummy.. no ridiculous amounts of flubber anywhere else on my body and I have always been quite skinny with a fast metabolism. What could it be? A thyroid problem? should I call my gastrointestinal doc? I don't know. Blah.
