We have 3 children aged 5, 2 and 1 and they all sit in car seats across the back of our car. Our car is a Mercedes ML320 and has an extra 2 folding seats in the rear. We are currently advertising it for sale because we are moving back to Australia on 21st July. It is 2001 model but has only 122,000km which is low for it's age. We are the second owners of the car, the previous owner was an American lady. We currently have it advertised for 36,000 AED but this is negotiable. If you are at all interested I can be contacted on 0501592126. The vehicle is fully serviced, registered until January 2012 and has recently had 4 new tyres fitted and new suspension.

tiger and mom mom, can you please send me an email to sithum@web.de maybe with your mobile number. I will talk to my husband but I believe we would be quite interested in viewing both cars.
Thanks Mone

Mone75, we have a Hyundai Veracruz and that fits 3 car seats across the back. At the moment we have 2 boosters and 1 car seat but when my girls were a little smaller we had the 3 car seats and it worked well. I'm actually leaving Dubai for good in about 3 weeks and am selling my car. It's white, black leather interior, top of the range, 40,000 kms, 2008 model, price around 75,000 aed.

We have a Ford Explorer and it can fit 3 seats across the back - although it is a little squeeze to get the seatbelts locked in (dependant on seat style though). The good thing about the Explorer is that we have the 3rd row which makes it much easier to put the oldest in the far back and then two across the back seat. Also the 3rd row is brilliant if you end up taking other kids or family etc out and about.

Maybe a car with third row seat could be another option.

The Dodge Journey (Caravan too, maybe?) has an option of a built-in booster seat, and you could have a regular seat in the middle. http://suvs.about.com/od/dodg1/ig/2010-Dodge-Journey/Journey-Booster-Seats.htm
Unless you are looking for a regular car seat ( not a booster) I don't know of any other options, sorry...

Hi Mrs. O: the booster seat will not work for the next 3 years, as we have very small kids with a tide time gap and expecting in January the next one.
moo moo: we might be interested in the Ford Expedition: So far also checked on Dubizzle the Ford Explorer but never had a look and we do not know if it is big enough. Can you please send me an email to sithum at web.de Would like to have some information regarding age, kilometers, condition and price- we only look for used once at the moment, as we have a tight budget. edited by Mone75 on 15/06/2011

If your kids are in the right age group you could try using the smaller booster type seats. You can fit 3 of these across the back seat.

Hi Mone75
Are you looking at new or used cars?
I have a Ford Expedition which I'm looking to sell soon and is a 7 seater and has 3 seats in the middle row.
If you interested, please let me know.

Has anyone have the same problem. We are looking for a car at the moment which can fit 3 seats in the middle row. We already had a look at used Nissan Armadas which are quite big in general. Our car will be to small in the future.
Anyone, who has/had the same problems?
