Don Coreleone at the Metropolitan on SZR gets my vote every time. Its nicer if you can sit outside (which obviously is a bit of a challenge at this time of the year!) but there's a nice inside bit too. I have been there many, many times now and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad service experience and the menu is fab and well priced.

ETA: Its in the Entertainer Fine Dining, or if you have a Habtoor Loyalty Card you can get money off that way too.

Bussola in Mina Seyahi (it`s on the beach) used to have great vibe and fantastic food!
But we haven`t been there for almost a year so i`m not sure if it`s still the same.

Recent experience - Da Vinchi`s in Millenium Airport hotel. We went there after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor.
Great atmosphere, rustic decor - our photos came out with sepia-like effect, very pretty. Very good service and sfaff. Inexpensive. DH loved his food, i had nothing memorable.

Medzo in Wafi used to be my absolute favorite It`s so very beautiful and classy, the food was amazing too.

I second Medzo. It is excellent! I have also heard Don Corleone in the Metropolitan was good though I have not had a chance to try it.

Medzo @ Wafi - gorgeous, best lasagne I have had here. Can't recommend it enough!

Marzano - Downtown burj
Bice - Hilton JBR

And there's one in Rydges Hotel in Satwa that is not so expensive and really really good!

Pregos in Media Rotana has always been consistently very good. There are vouchers in the entertainer book too!
