I think it will be welcome after his day at work and guess what, it gives you a whole day for the planning and success. Know how you feel though as mine too makes a big fuss over birthdays, mother's day, Christmas, etc. Once I was caught with not having found the right present by the time his birthday arrived. So, it was kisses, wishes and card in the morning and pressie and nice meal in the evening. Have a lovely celebration as it being his first one is very special !

Oppps-took DS out shopping last night-couldn't find a card so he made one but at least we got the pressie-it is hard to remember the dates here-especially when it falls on a working day
