I have jumpers, cardigans and fleeces for winter. As someone else said, anything below 30 degrees starts to feel cold!

school run goes down to 11 in winter and my boys both wear a jumper to school - only for a few weeks though lol None of us have a coat here but the teen has a cupboard full of hoodies for the malls and i have a cardigan.. you should also have a pashmina or modest clothing for places where respectful dress is required - shrugs are great...

Except they're a total waste of money to buy here if you already have them and you're shipping stuff out in any case.. edited by simpleasabc on 20/06/2012

Just a thought but if you have room bring extra clothes - I think they are quite pricey here compared to the UK we are heading home this summer and I will be doing some major shopping for my DD

You will definitely need warm clothes for the winter. You will quickly acclimatise and anything below 30 degrees will feel distinctly chilly.
Mornings can be 12 degrees in the winter (we have camped overnight in the desert at 9 degrees, absolutely freezing, hats, scarves, coats the lot).
Also if it ever decides to rain again (has been 2.5 years since we had 'proper' rain) it does pour/flood so you will need boots/jackets/hoods for that beloved day.

I can't bring myself to take my nearly one year old baby out of the house without wearing a sleeveless body suit under her clothes because of the airconditioning. It's annoying because she has lots of strappy tops that can't be worn with a vest underneath them, but I figure better warm than ill...

Cardigans and pull on jumpers will be sufficient, also jeans are frequently worn. No major need for UK type jackets, so long as you have pashmina's, but you can get those all out here!
ETA. You will need cover up clothes for indoors and light summery clothes for outside! It is all about layers! edited by pollydxb1 on 20/06/2012

The malls are freezing.... AC is usually set somewhere between freezing and arctic......
It was bitter this winter; was below 10 degrees and most places do not have heating....

I would bring summer stuff but dont forget to bring a cardi ! Its freezing in the cinemas ! I have to stick a jumper on my son when he goes in as he is always cold when we watch a film !
The winter months, it does get a bit nippy so I would have something warm .. a jumper or a cardi is fine... wouldnt bother with a coat ! I have a coat but only take it out when I go back to the UK.

Probably a stupid question.
Baby number 3 is due end of August. I was wondering what it is like to be there in the middle of summer re clothes. I am assuming you would spend most of the time in air-conditioning inside so do you still just need very lite summery clothes?
Thanks!
