Aw my first car a completely rotten UK R (1996 i think) Reg Ford Fiesta but i loved it, it was mine paid for by myself managed to keep it on the road for 2 years before she finally packed up on me ha ha
Yep, mine was my sister's hand-me-down Mitsubishi Colt. Was a few months before I could offically get a learner's so I spent all my spare time cleaning it, arranging my cassette tapes ready and buying smelly trees to hang off the mirror! :PThat one lasted about four months before it died, I then inherited a rather lovely Ford Telstar off a family we know whose elderly mother couldn't drive any more (well, I paid for it) lovely lovely car beautiful interior and I was very proud of her.... until the engine showed problems again then I was forced to buy my very first NEW car... which I still own and keep back in Oz. Very proud of that car and it was the first thing I paid off in full from a loan so am very fond of it
woohoo it's here - and I've had a drive of it before here
funny thing is though she won't be able to drive it yet - she's got to do the highway driving first! Anticipation is killing her lol
Yes I was thrilled! It was a very fetching '97 model VW Polo (1.0 litre engine), previously owned by a 70 year old lady. I had so much fun with that car We lived in the countryside so I could have been given a Robin Reliant and still been happy with it - anything that got me into the city!Hope you enjoy your new ride
Yes, only to have it all quashed when I saw the battered blue 2CV sitting outside....ETA This was nearly 25 years ago, mind you!edited by Sanddy_Dogg on 27/06/2012
