Yep, mine was my sister's hand-me-down Mitsubishi Colt. Was a few months before I could offically get a learner's so I spent all my spare time cleaning it, arranging my cassette tapes ready and buying smelly trees to hang off the mirror! :P

That one lasted about four months before it died, I then inherited a rather lovely Ford Telstar off a family we know whose elderly mother couldn't drive any more (well, I paid for it) lovely lovely car beautiful interior and I was very proud of her.... until the engine showed problems again then I was forced to buy my very first NEW car... which I still own and keep back in Oz. Very proud of that car and it was the first thing I paid off in full from a loan so am very fond of it Big Grin

Hope you enjoy your new ride

Mine was a 1978 model - 'T' reg (original T - with the reg letter at the end of the plate)

funny thing is though she won't be able to drive it yet - she's got to do the highway driving first! Anticipation is killing her lol

Yes, only to have it all quashed when I saw the battered blue 2CV sitting outside....

ETA This was nearly 25 years ago, mind you!
