Eat Pray Love Review
Whether you have read the book or not this is a film that is definitely worth seeing!
Eat Pray Love is a film about one woman’s search for everything in Italy, India and Indonesia, starring Julia Roberts as the book’s author, Elizabeth Gilbert - Liz. After having a mini bathroom breakdown at 2am one morning, Liz realises she is totally unhappy and unsatisfied with her marriage and has to leave her husband, Steven played by Billy Crudup. After a painful divorce, successful writer Liz decides she is going to take a year off and travel to Italy, to India and Indonesia and write her next book about her travels and discoveries.
Along the way she makes new friends and discovers she can forgive herself, love herself again and finds the power of nourishment, meditation and love. The film makes you think about your own life too and has a very positive message about making changes and finding happiness.
It’s definitely a chick flick and one to see with your friends! The scenery they have filmed in all three countries is amazing and you will find yourself wanting to visit Italy, India and Bali afterwards! Julia Roberts gives a great performance and eye candy abounds with the rugged Felipe played by Javier Bardem. It’s a heart-warming film, which will make you smile and cry and above all, appreciate what you have or do something about things you are not happy with.
