Cornish Pixie - interesting that you are a relocation agent - do you ever deal directly with owners for rentals for client - if you know the property is in a "good" area?

That's very very good. The only thing working against him is that DSO is far out of town, considering you can go into JLT, the Marina or new buildings in Bur Dubai now for 50k.

Dubizzle is your best bet though.

Jst out of interest what price is he looking at? There are so many vacant properties that you can get ridiculous deals. He'll have to be prepared to negotiate and probably take 12 cheques.

At the risk of being shouted down......with a real estate agent? It is after all the tenant who pays the agent here not the landlord.

I do relocation work and don't have the time to search out properties via other avenues so i always go thru the RE people, it also means they do the paperwork etc. and know the ropes. There are honest ones about, honestly!

I found that putting up flyers/poster in the main shooping centres help (Spinneys in Umm suqeim, Choithrams in The Greens etc).

Dubizzle def better as it reaches a wider market.

Gulf news classifieds might do - haven't tried there myself.

A friend urgently needs to rent out his 1 B/R apartment. He has already posted an ad in dubizzle but with no luck so far. Are there any other sites you can suggest where it would be helpful?
