Thanks. i am not yet sure if she will agree to change her sponsorship to me but she may not agree and yes, I want to employ her legally but looking around options if I can do that without changing the sponsorship.

anouschka is right, from everything so far that I've heard. Maids can only work for you if you sponsor them, or if you hire them through an agency. She will not be allowed to work as a maid under her husband's visa. To do so could result in you getting a fine of 50,000dhs, and the maid could be arrested and then deported.

I believe that maids are the only group that can not work for an individual on a husband's visa, only through a company.Just wanted to add: or you have to transfer it to yours.edited by anouschka on 10/09/2010
I am looking for a maid who could drive and one may be qualified but she is on a husband visa. Without transferring her visa, would you know the process of employing her - will that mean getting a work permit. If you know how much it will cost, please let me know. Thanks ladies for your help.
