Yes BB2 is right, with a rental you can't pay the traffic fine yourself. Call the rental company and tell them about the fine and they will deduct it from your cc (with a % on top of it). but i think she is on about a parking fine, in abu dhabi they have an office which in hamden to go and pay, i would suspect its the same in dxb. but the traffic fine website will show you all your fines they should all be connected, but if you only put in your car rego it will only bring up speeding fines, if you put in your TC number it will bring up all fines, speeding, parking and any other fine they so desire.
yeh have heard for that to be done.

The website lets me enter the parking fine number and all the info for the fine comes up. When I enter the car rego, no info comes up at all therefore I don't think that the rental car company would even know about this yet.
I tried calling the Rental Agency but no reply so poss closed for Eid.
We have had one speed camera fine before which was onbilled to us from the rental car company with a fee and that's fine but in this case I'm the one with the ticket and want to pay if to avoid late payment fees as nearing the 2 week to pay plus don't want to pay the rental car company "service fee". And I guess if I do pay it in person, the rental car company will bill me as well and then they will take forever to sort out blah blah blah!!!
What a total time waster this is proving to be! edited by Holdfast on 12/09/2010

The problem is that because the car is not on your name you are not able to pay any fine, but then again this is the UAE so maybe they allow you to pay fines for a car which is not yours. Now that would be perfect!! Any takers???

Yes, it's near Geant - kind of opposite the flower shop down there.

Thanks ShellyMcD - if RTA aren't open I'll try Ibn Buttuta since I'm at work tomorrow. Where exactly in the mall is the bank as I don't go there often?
All the banks are located at the corridor next to the Geant so I guess that's where the Emirates Bank is too. Stand for the Geant and go to your right. Banks are on the left hand side.

Its probably not open today for fines, but then Ive been surprised to do my MOT at 9 pm at night so who knows. Probably closed today tho. They are diagonally opposite MOE on the other side of Um Suquiem road, also facing onto SZR. I find it easier to take the SZR exit in front of the Dubai Garden centre and head to the Gold and Diamond park and they are next to the Gold n Diamond park, on the other side, facing MOE. Enter the main foyer and ask someone there, although a year back the fines section was through a door on the left hand side of the foyer.

yes but it's not a speed camera fine, it's a paper ticket from him parking where he shouldn't have so the rental car company shouldn't have the ticket as I have it in my hot little hand! Never been to the RTA in Barsha but is it the one just off Umm Sequim Road by the MOE? and do you think it will be open today since school as still closed for Eid? Thanks for your help here.

Ah rental car - I think my friends rental company sorted it out and charged it back to her afterwards (hers was a long term rental) Good luck ! You could take the ticket straight down to the RTA in Barsha and pay directly edited by beachymaria on 12/09/2010

Morning ladies, My DH has a parking fine and I read on the back of the ticket that you can pay at Emirates International Bank or Middle East Bank. I've searched a few threads and another EW paid at MOE via the ATM machine. Has anyone done this and if so, where in MOE is the ATM machine and I assume it accepts cash and gives you a receipt. I've tried paying online and it's not working.
TIA x
