Sounds great...but if it's this great there might be a chance that the budget wont stretch. Please let the ideas come in

SimoneN, what is the Hilton resort like, I haven't been there yet and this might be an option. What are the hotel facilities like?
Abami would be too sophisticated so I guess that's not really an option and the likes of Al Aqah, Hatta, Jebel Ali Hotel were all done before as well as a desert safari.
It's getting really difficult to find places to take this many people on a FRIDAY for everyone (executives and workers) to have fun!

If it's a team building day you want, then I recommend Abami, they do days at the Jebal Ali resort or Hatta Fort.

I've seen some great team building activities being done at Le meridian al aaah. Perhaps call the big hotels and see whobthey work with for group activities. Maybe have acdesert experience at bab al shams the hotels should be up for negotiating good rates if the business is midweek and outside of school holidays. Goood luck nd hope u have fun!

Saw a huge group at the Hilton resort in RAK at the beginning of the year. Not quite sure what they were doing, but it looked (and sounded) like lots of fun

250 people is alot of people. What sort of activities are you wanting to do? Or is it just a trip out somewhere. I'd head over Fujairah way, you can go to the mangroves in Korfakhan for a picnic, there's usually turtles there to see. Check out the Friday afternoon entertainment of bullfighting (not in the spanish sense I hasten to add, no bulls are harmed in this type), go to Snoopy Island for some snorkelling, then to the Al Aqa.
Trip to the Musandam for a dhow cruise?

have seen all sorts of events take place at hatta fort hotel - ring them and ask. not sure if it was organized by outsiders or the hotel. think it may have been boy scouts type thing ... they have clay pigeon shooting and the pools and camel ride as a standard at any rate and there is a walk you can do and perhaps mountain bike it.

Hatta Fort Hotel? Fuejeirah Le Meridien (I think they have conference rooms which could be an option for meals)

Any other suggestions anyone? We were at Jebel Ali before and just wanted to see a new place.

How about checking out Jebel Ali Hotel /Beach Club/Golf course for the day - there's tons to do and you feel like you are 'out of town'.

I'm looking for a day outing venue for quite a large crowd, possibly about 250 people do you have any suggestions. Nothing too posh really but with lots of fun. It could be in any of the Emirates as long as it's within a drive of about 2 hours.
