Sorry should have said my hubby was going back home to America. But food magazines is a good idea! I might have to get the hubby to get some for myself. Thanks for the idea!

I'm quite a foodie and love my food p*rn and one of the things I miss most about the UK is the brilliant food and wine magazines which are soooo expensive here (my favourite is "Delicious") Hubbie could buy a stash of them? And I bet they have brilliant freebie gifts on them now too as the December issues will be out in November :-)

Thank you all, great ideas. I actually like the idea of the floating candles, great idea! I'm sure I could find them here somewhere. Wish I was going back home instead of the hubby, trying to explain things to him to pick up..ugg he gets all flustered, lol...He's not a shopper! If any one has any more ideas would love to hear. Thx!

What about something like Sarah Nelsons gingerbread from grasmere (but she does mail order) Or if you have a selfridges close by then Vom Fass do amazing olive oils and balsamic vinegars in beautiful packaging-have a look at their uk website. It'll just be whether the weight is too much bringing it back

For the pool couple: floating candles for in the pool?
Or some special olive oil? Or spices you can't get in Duba?

Budget, hmmm I'm not sure. I want it to be a nice gesture but don't want to spend a whole lot where they feel bad if they didn't get us anything. I was thinking 100dhs, maybe 150dhs? To much? To little?

Hello EW ladies,
My DH is going home in a week and I want him to pick up some xmas gifts for 2 of our good friends. I need gift ideas for a 2 of our close married friends. I don't want to buy individual because then it will get a little pricey. Anyone have some ideas? Interests - both love wine! 1st couple loves to cook, entertain, grill, love their pool since they are in it every day. Same with the second couple I guess just minus the pool. They are both pretty laid back. I'm drawing a blank on what would be a nice gift. Any ideas anyone? Much appreciated!!
