I must add that I flew EK all the time when my son was a baby and the staff were extremly helpful indeed,. Just let EK know in advance so they give you a good seat with quick acess to the toilet.

Ive travelled with an under 12 month old infant and the only thing that I carried on board with me was his formula milk. I gave the bottles to the air steward and she placed them in the fridge and when I requested it, she warmed it for me. That was in his baby bag and I had to take it out and put it in plastic bags. I did feed him at the airport lounge before though so I took a tub of food plus juice for him.
I told emirates before hand that I was travelling with a baby and they gave me jars of baby food and some slices of apples whilst in the flight and I stuck to Masafi water as his drink.
I also took a couple of sachets of calpol with me as he used to get grizzly during take off and landing as I suppose his ears would pop.
Keep with you plenty of spare clothes in his bag as well as nappies. I took an extra blanket and take some moisturiser for the babys face as skin can get very dry during the flight.

I don't know if there are regulations, but just traveled with my little one and had all of the mentioned in my hand luaggage and none of the airport mentioned or checked it. Apart from the weight it was all easy.

Travelling this weekend with 11 month old and wondering if there's any special things I need to do to carry the baby food. For example, its a 14 hour trip so we'll need cereal, about 4-5 jars, snacks, water, and 2 bottles.

Can I carry this in my hand luggage?
Is there any special care, I need to pack the food (safety regs etc.)

Any tips for anything???
