I know only oo well how hard it is to be so fr away from home when something like this happens but your mum will know how you are feeling. Sending you a very big cyber hug for today. Your mum will be treated like a celebrity if she's being cared for in te same hospital your sister works in. My mum had surgery in the hospital where my sister was working and everyone knew about her and came in to see her and reassure her. The very best of the best will be looking after your mum.
When my dad was in hospital I would call him very late for me but around 8/9 pm for him most nights. We had such lovely chats. I was the last person he spoke to at night and he loved that special time. So, although you are so far away you can still make a difference.
I hope all goes well today for your mum. Look after yourself too your young family need you. Make sure you eat and take some quiet time to think about your mum and snd her positive thoughts.
I am in the uk now so if I can help in any way don't hesitate to let me know.

NIP I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Think positive, everything is going to be fine. Focus on the positive stuff: is an early stage cancer, your sister and yourself will be there for your mom, you have each other. You are able to be there, not for the whole process but you will be there. Big hug!

So sorry about your Mum but on a positive note am glad that the dreaded cancer was detected and is being treated now. My father was detected with kidney cancer 2 yrs back...tried all treatments but it was a very angry spread...so he had to ahve one of his kidney's removed. He is hale and hearty now...needed his family to be around him to pick up his spirits... Sending loads of positive vibes, prayers and get well wishes for your mum.

Sorry to hear your Mum and family are having to go through this difficult time. We went through it last year with my Mum who had lung cancer. It's tough for everyone being so far away and not always being able to get away from work and responsibilities to be there. Sending best wishes to her for successful treatment and recovery.

NIP when your Mum goes for the op she will need to take pj's, a dressing gown and slippers so your present idea is a great one. There are no rules on this. It helps to have a front fastening pj top so this could be a good choice of present too. My little boys (now 6 and 3) keep me feeling positive!

NIP, I am so sorry to hear about your Mum, she will be in my prayers tonight. My Mum is a breast cancer survivor and we also had no family history. If you ever need to talk about it from a daughter's view, just shout out. Sending you hugs and strength.
