Vision Express were advertising a sale on QBS this morning - DH got his prescription sunglasses through them in the UK, so may be worth a look

I think I should add that since my post below, my husband had both glasses with transitions lenses, and sunglasses with prescription lenses made at Al Jabor at the Centre. Unfortunately it took four attempts to get the glasses right, and a wait of about 4 or 5 weeks. A series of mistakes, including making his lenses up in two different colours. A comedy of errors really - Sir if we turn your glasses on a 45 degree angle, can you see now? Well, yes I can, but I can't wear my glasses like that.'

I had a couple of pairs made up by Yateem opticians. They were great. They have a number of shops around town.

You could try online, and Aramex them over. I've had good experiences ordering from 39dollarglasses.com and Warbyparker.com. Warby Parker is the more expensive of the two, and they charge $150.

I got mine from Bahrain optics in CC. Surely though, any opticians will make tinted lenses and replace those in sunglassses? I wanted specific Chanel ones and there was no problem.
A note though that the 'reacta light types do not activate over a certain temperature (and I am not sure exactly what it is) When I was coming from UK I thought this might be the solutiion to not having to change spectacles when going from outside to iniside and vica versa. A point worth noting and looking into.

I've just got new glasses with transitions lens from Al Jabor at the Centre, near Megamart. They have had a sale on. I had an eye test there as well. They did get the prescription wrong the first time round, but I have an unusual prescription, but fixed it without a quibble, and they are good now. FYI my lenses were 1700QR.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go for these? Thanks!
