Just as an idea, this is my workout routine, some people might say it is too much but it works for me and if I stick to roughly around this, I feel better, I sleep better and I just seem to be more productive as I am getting enough out of the benefits of exercise and still resting as much as I need.
Sun: Body Pump/Circuit Mon: Rest Tue: Body Balance/Step Wed: Body Pump/Sh'bam Thur: Rest Fri: Circuit Sat: Rest
During the week I work out in the afternoon (4-6) after I finish work, which works out great as I usually feel like a light healthy dinner afterwards, and on friday it is early morning and usually stops me grazing all day (usually!)

Agree with Bracey, the best thing I did to have a 'balanced diet' (which helped lose a few more kgs) was to start eating quorn. Never been a big fan of meat and avoided it where possible, and I hated all veggies for a long time so all I ate were eat carbs carbs carbs. I finally cut carbs for lent to 'learn to love' some veggies and tried quorn (which I thought I would hate being so picky) but I actually love it and don't eat meat at all now. I will make chilli con carne using quorn mince, and now have the quorn chilli and a side salad. I buy the lowcarb wraps, and make 'quorn chicken' wraps with lettuce, salsa/extra light mayo, or make casseroles.
Definitely try circuit too, it feels like torture at first but it's the best for all round fitness, and I love it now! edited by BellaUK on 22/05/2012

I am also a vegetarian and i when i started dieting i had a similar problem. The reason being i was eating too much cheese and carbs and not enough eggs etc. I was also drinking too many milky coffees. If you like the quorn sausages, mince etc they are really good to have in the evenings with some veg or salad. I have been doing the four hour body diet where you basically eat a high protein diet (not including cheese and little milk/cream) and one day per week you get a cheat day where you can eat whatever you like. I have lost 6 KGs so far on it. You can also drink red wine on the diet. Also cut out the fruit i have read a lot of books and articles which say you should only eat fruit once per week if you are struggling to loose weight because it is really high in sugar. I have only just started going to the gym twice a week doing some cardio and weights and just brought a bike so twice a day now i go out on that.
I know how hard it is being a vegetarian and trying to loose weight because you have to be really creative with meals as we dont have the option of eating meat with veggies etc.
Hope this will help you

Regarding the exercises, I do pilates one day, then gym or circuit training, then ballet, I swim. I try to mix otherwise I get bored very easily. Sounds a bit too random though. You need a proper regime of exercises that work the various parts of the body. Doesn't sound like you have much weight bearing of weight exercise in there, which is the thing that really makes the difference.
Agree with Chocs. Sounds like you need more consistency, and also--the exercises you listed sound pretty low impact. My mantra is low impact should be a long workout or it doesn't have much yield--and the heart rate still needs to be consistent during the workout, even if it's lower intensity. Maybe you need to do some more high intensity and also weight training. If all workouts were enjoyable, most people wouldn't get anywhere.

Ok, I have two words for you 'rest days'! It is possible that you're actually over training. You should actually do proper workouts every other day. The body needs time to rest, adapt and make the changes.
If you're feeling tired and worn out you're over doing it.
What kind of exercising are you doing? You need to mix it up.

It's been 5 months since I started training regularly (5-6 times a week) and try to eat healthy and apart from minor changes, I don't see my body weight or measures getting any closer to where I'd like them to be, especially my tummy and legs.
I do all kind of exercise, cardio, weights, pilates, etc.
I drink alcohol only once a week and very little, maybe one beer or one glass of wine. I don't eat fry food, I'm vegetarian and I only eat sweets once a week, on my "free" day.
I gave up on the last vice I had, that was mayonnaise last week.
Obviously there's still something I'm doing wrong and I'm getting very depressed because I'm one month away from holidays at Cote d'azur, where everyone looks fantastic in their bikinis.
Help please!!!
