We went to the steakhouse and had one of the worst meals ever - QR300 for what looked like a half over cooked, half raw minute steak. In saying that everyone else I know who has been there has really liked it. Have been to Cuccina quite a few times and it is good - not excellent but fine for the price - although the pizzas are very good.

Yay on all! Never had a bad experience at any of them.

The only we haven't been to is the Brasserie - anyone tried it? I heard they're supposed to have an oyster bar? *drooling*

YAY on Ipanema!! I was there this past weekend with some girlfriends and we would all highly recommend it! It is in essence a buffet with a focus on meat (steak and lamb, and a some chicken) but rather than get if from the buffet, they bring it to you -- huge skewers of amazing meat. All was incredibly yummy. There is an actual buffet with soups, salads and breads, and then they bring other salads and fries to the table. Food will keep coming until you say stop -- and it's hard to say stop!

I've also been to Champions -- a sports bar with an okay menu of American bar food. Have heard great things about the steak house (but pricey) and have heard mixed reviews of Cuccina.

Great thanks thats a good enough recommendation for me. Ipanema it is then and will try out the others in the future too.

The food at the restaurants in the Renaissance is consistently good. The only disappointment I've had food-wise is at Cuccina just recently. The gnochi (sp?) was mush and tasteless. However, everything else I've had at Cuccina has been very good, including the other handmade pasta.

I go to Quick Bites often. Their breakfast choices are limited but the food has always been good. They also have great pizza and very good coffee.

agree the restaurants there seem great. We've done a brunch at crossroads kitchen and had a meal at the NY Steakhouse. Agree that the steakhouse is pricey but we really enjoyed it and the food and service were great.
