When we moved here the NZ consulate in API tower, Dubai had permission to stamp the documents instead of sending the documents to Canberra. This was six years ago so give the consulate a call on 331 7500 to check if that is the case still.

The Stamping back in NZ was with DIA then MFAT.

I just had to get a copy of my quals attested and the NZ part took 5 working days plus courier time. I didn't have to send it to OZ though as that bit wasn't required by the Government body that I needed it for here so can't help with that bit sorry.

It says it takes 5 days to stamp your documents in NZ at the Wellington Embassy then about another 5 once they are at the UAE Embassy in Canberra, Australia. We need them stamped so we can start the work permit process.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Did it actually only take 5 days? (+ postage). We would urgent courier. This needs to be done asap as I am already 29 weeks pregnant.
