just got rid of the tiny ants in my kitchen with magic gel it's like a large syringe with brown gel I had to put it on all the runs it took a day or so as they kept coming back in different places.Everywhere had stock of this last year but the only place I could find it was co op Al Barsha on bottom shelf of fly sprays.I also put the barrier spray outside round windows and doors but keep well back when spraying as very strong.

Don't know if we had the same ants but we had National pest control in for cockroach problem (yuk yuk yuk) and they also had a go at the ants - haven't seen an ant or cockroach since they came and we had a constant trail of ants up and around the garden wall and around the rooms downstairs... all dead and gone apparently. Don't know how long it will last but I live in hope :-)

There is a magic product sold in the coop in Helwan Sharjah ( could not find it in Dubai coop ) that works and is safe for kids and pets. It is a powder in a small box. The ants take it to the nest and it kills the nest. Within a couple of days you are free of ants.

Were they pharoah ants, Mirdiffingrid, or just regular black ants? I also had National Pest Control in ... twice ... and both times the little beggars came back as soon as the spray had dried on the floor!!

Try calling National Pest Control. They came in 18 months ago to spray and I haven't had an ant in the house. They said hey could guarantee it for 3 months. I was advised to be out of he house for 30 minutes or if I stayed to have the windows one for an hour. Best AED 500 ever spent.

I absolutely sympathise! I posted this in January in response to another EWer, if it's any help:
"Are they these little so-and-sos? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharaoh_ant If they're pharoah ants, they're notoriously hard to get rid of because they're so tiny and can get into pretty much anything. After 16 months of daily battle with the little sods - trying absolutely everything - including getting the pest control guys in to spray. I later discovered, after googling, that spraying can just cause the nest to "fracture and bud", i.e. split up and multiply, so you need to use bait to get rid of them. I finally got rid of them virtually overnight using Terro ant killer that I got from ACE. Sadly, other posters mentioned a while back that it had been taken off the shelves, but perhaps it's now back in stock? Good luck, the little b****rs drove me up the wall!!"

Thats interesting as they were in my kettle too! I have never found them in their before! I dont think any pest control can get rid of them im afriad. I asked before and they said that the spray can only do so much. As you say they get everywhere plug sockets, walls, i have had them upstairs aswell, never before! I think they are attracted by water as well as food. Not sure there is any solution. On the web there are lots of ant products but dont think they are avalible here

They are those small brown ants, my friend calls them ghost ants. Spray kills the ones that actually get sprayed, and their friends march over their bodies...... Talc works on the holes they are coming through, but it's not practical as a long term all over the house solution. Have ground black pepper all over the base of my electric kettle which seems to work. Imagine my surprise when i found about a thousand of them inside there a week or so back ! So rid a pest is good ?

Mum used to put a small bowl of honey in the back yard... sure they were still in the yard but they stayed in that one spot and didn't come looking in the house!
Or, mix honey, water and some Ant Rid... but again if you have kids/dogs might not be able to...

Agree, nothing seems to kill off those sugar ants. I spary they move to another location with in a day, I've tried talc, toothpaste, ginger and piff paff ant spray. Would love to know how to get rid of them if anyone has any ideas please share.

Ants outdoors, indoors, in the walls, IN MY BED biting me and driving me mad ! I have to find a good company that will get rid of them and not poison me, the kids, and cats - any suggestions ? Can't use a breadbasket, they get into zip lock bags and airtight container, when I watching tv there are ants on me - I think you get the picture !!
