With weather conditions unstable across the country, the rain has been a pain for some and a nice change for others.

Just like many other countries in the region, Qatar has seen rain for the past few days. Heavy rain wasn’t the only worry though as temperatures dropped, ranging between 10 to 17 degrees Celsius. It’s likely colder and even windier outside of Doha.

Qatar flood

The rain has caused flooded roads all over the city, causing disruptions and accidents everywhere. The rain also caused interruptions to the women’s tennis tournament Qatar Total Open and the cancellation of the MIA Park Bazaar.

The municipal employees have been tirelessly working to clear the roads. Over the past few days, 30 million gallons of rain water have been cleared from the streets.

Rain, rain go away...or not

Some people still welcomed the rain and saw some beauty in it. Here are some captures of Qatar in the rain that shows the country remains beautiful amongst the chaos, sunny or not.
