Experience Al Fresco Dining at Méridien Village Terrace

If you are looking for a romantic spot to dine in with your special someone or just planning to spend some quality time with your family or friends, Le Méridien Village Terrace is definitely the place to be.

Al Fresco Dining at Méridien Village Terrace

Méridien Village Terrace is just one of the eighteen unique restaurants in Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre which is conveniently located at Airport Road in Garhoud. The hotel sits very close to Dubai International Airport and very much accessible from any point of Dubai through various means of transport be it a private car or the public transportation.

The moment we arrived at the hotel lobby, I knew that it's going to be a memorable gastronomical experience. Completely famished, we immediately looked for the Village Terrace restaurant which we easily found thanks to the hotel's friendly staffs. The first thing I noticed when arrived at the resto was the piazza style terrace that promises the ultimate outdoor dining experience.

The friendly staff ushered us to our table near the mini fountain and in front of the Live Band, the attentive staff immediately gave us the drinks menu from which I ordered a lemongrass mojito and an orange juice for my companion. While waiting for our drinks to arrive, I had a tour around to take in the vibrant feel of the place. I noticed several things at once, the live music that fills the atmosphere with a relaxing vibe, the seemingly endless international buffet options and in the heart of the restaurant was the live cooking station.

Completely satisfied that I made the right decision of going here I went back to our table and found my ordered drink, I took a sip and my thirst was immediately quenched, feeling refreshed I'm ready to start my food adventure.

International Buffet Options

Internation Buffet Option
There's a lot of options to choose from the night market style buffet restaurant, from salad stations to seafood stations, from sushi counter to barbeque pit, there is also a section where you can opt to eat different kinds of meat, they have chicken, beef and even pork.

Of course, me being the adventurous foodie that I am, just have to try everything that my plate could possibly accommodate. Hey don't judge me that's what buffets are for, after all, and there's just so much food waiting to be eaten that it would be a crime not to sample everything that my insatiable tummy desires, the rumbling sound of my tummy is the queue for me to begin.

I started with the garden fresh salads that served as my appetiser,  immediately after I went for the cold crabs and salmon slices, as I have a long-standing love affair with seafood I can't help but devour a plateful of fresh sea bounty.  I also sampled some of the handmade sushi, I love that in every bite of the rice rolls I can taste the subtle sweetness of the seafood combined with the tartness of the fresh vegetables and tropical fruits.

After the seafood, it would be unfair to the sumptuous meat meals which is obviously waiting on the side if I don't even get to have a try, so I went to the barbeque pit and asked for a meat slab which was grilled in front of me, pure awesomeness!

The buffet wouldn't be complete though without the sweets and desserts, after eating the tasty seafood and juicy meat,  fresh fruits and sweet desserts were definitely in order. I sampled one or two of the colourful fruits and I followed it up with tarts and mini cakes, the desserts were just right to the taste not overwhelmingly sweet.

Live Music Entertainment

Live Music Entertainment

To complement the great food was the amazing live music entertainment, with the relaxing music I feel like you could do a slow dance under the stars or just lean back to your chair and stare endlessly into the night sky. If the delicious meal satisfied my hunger the soothing music definitely filled my soul.

Live Cooking Stations

Live Cooking Stations

The Méridien Village Terrace also features Live Cooking stations, as I'm already full at this point I was simply content with just watching the live cooking which sort of remind me of shows the like of master chef. From what I can see you can pick the ingredients that you want from an array of vegetables, meats, seafood and spices and the chef will whisk an amazing dish for you to enjoy which is evident from the queue of customers waiting for their turn to be served.

In any restaurants, there are two major things that I look for the quality of food and the service, and I can say that Méridien Village Terrace delivered both, the atmosphere brought about by the Live Band and Live Cooking Stations were a plus of course and definitely contributed to the whole dining experience. Would I go back for another round? A resounding yes would be my answer, after all, there's still a lot of food I haven't tried and did I mention that Méridien Village Terrace is just one of the eighteen restaurants in Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre?
