SP Services provides every household and business in Singapore with a convenient and efficient one-stop service for electricity, water and piped gas supplies. They have introduced a one-call, one-click and one-stop services for their customers. With just one call, or one click of your mouse, you can apply for utilities services conveniently. There’s no need to Queue!

For the convenience of customers, SP Services also provides metering, billing and payment collection, and customer service on behalf of other utility service providers, including PUB for water charges, City Gas for gas charges, and various refuse collection companies for refuse removal fees.

If you open an account in person at Singapore Power you can by visiting one of their branches, however you can also sign up over the telephone, via fax, via email or online. The applicant must be over the age of 21 to apply and must have the following documents:

· A completed application form
· A completed bank giro form
· An Identity Card (IC) (or National Registration Identity Card NRIC) number of the householder or Permanent
Resident, or a copy of an Employment Pass if a foreigner
· Documentary proof of occupation of premises, e.g. Tenancy Agreement or property tax
· A deposit

The deposit is based on your accommodation as well as your nationality and status in Singapore hence it differs from person to person.
